LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating two separate crashes involving motorcycles early Wednesday morning.

The first one happened just after midnight in south Las Vegas at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno Drive. Police say the motorcycle driver “entered the intersection against a red traffic signal” and hit a Lincoln SUV.

According to police, the SUV driver remained on the scene and did not show any signs of impairment. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

Around 1 a.m. another crash took place at Charleston Boulevard and Shadow Lane. One motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

No other details have been released at this time, but police are warning you to find alternate routes if you are traveling in the impacted areas this morning.
