LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The babysitter accused of stabbing a toddler to death in Las Vegas appeared in court for a second time Tuesday morning.
Marketta Phillips, 41, continues to be held without bond. Both the state and defense requested 45 days until the next preliminary hearing. It’s scheduled for May 13 at 10 a.m.
Phillips is accused of killing 3-year-old Journei Ross.

The stabbing happened early Wednesday morning. Police said Phillips was watching the child while the child’s father was working.
