HENDERSON, Nev. (FOX5) – A motorcyclist died after a driver ran a red light at a Las Vegas Valley intersection.

The crash happened at Sunset Road and Marks Street at 10:33 a.m. Thursday. The Clark County coroner identified the motorcyclist as Brian Frazier, a 46-year-old man.

The Henderson Police Department said the driver of a Nissan Rogue stopped at a red light at the intersection. At the same moment, Frazier traveled westbound on Sunset approaching Marks.

Police said a crash happened when the Nissan’s driver entered the intersection on a red as the righthand turn arrow turned green. The Nissan drove into the motorcyclist’s path.

He went airborne and died at the scene.

Speed and impairment did not play a role in this crash. HPD said the Nissan’s driver was issued a citation for failing to obey a red signal.

“The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation,” police said. ” In this case, there was no evidence the driver acted recklessly, negligently, or was under the influence.  The driver did violate a minor traffic law, but did not commit a criminal offense.”

“The collision is being investigated as the fourth accident-related fatality for 2025,” police said.
