LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – New numbers for Las Vegas’ WrestleMania 41 show why the WWE says it was the most successful event in its history.

The event was held at Allegiant Stadium over the weekend and brought in nearly 125,000 fans over two nights. That number shatters the all-time entry record.

The WWE says viewership of the event was the most-viewed of all time. TV viewership jumped 114 percent from the record-setting WrestleMania 40 last year.

Merchandise sales also set a record. Sales were up more than 45 percent.

The five-day interactive fan experience, “WWE World”, had 50-thousand attendees, which is the most attended WWE fan convention of all time.

The Las Vegas Visitor and Convention Authority projects WrestleMania to have an economic impact of $215 million.

In addition to WrestleMania Saturday and Sunday, WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown and Monday Night Raw took over T-Mobile Arena. WWE’s NXT series taped its show at Fontainebleau Tuesday night.
