LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Two weeks and no answers: that’s according to a Clark County School District mother who says her middle-school-aged daughter undressed in a school’s closet with a camera in it.

The incident happened at Jerome Mack Middle School in early April. We are not identifying the family to protect their privacy.

This mother said a group of girls, including her daughter, were directed into a closet to change after P.E.

She contacted FOX5 about the incident two weeks ago.

At that time, a Clark County School District spokesperson said, “a security camera was located in a storage closet for securing valuable items. As a precaution, CCSD Police were contacted to investigate the matter.

“CCSD Police will complete their investigation regarding the purpose of the camera. If deemed necessary, additional actions may be taken.”

Since the incident, the mother said she’s been calling CCSD Police with questions, but they haven’t been able to provide any, citing an open investigation.

“I want to see the video. I want to see a written report,” she said. “It’s just a waiting game. It’s on their time.”

The mother said it’s still not clear if that camera was recording. What she said is haunting her the most is whether or not the footage exists of her daughter and those other girls, and where it might be.

She said she also wants to know the status of the employee who placed the camera.

In the weeks after the incident, FOX5 has reached out to CCSD several times asking about the status of the investigation, the employee who placed the camera, and if they plan on sending a parent letter home.

A CCSD spokesperson said “the case is still actively under investigation.”

FOX5 also asked for any documents related to the incident. A CCSD spokesperson told us to submit a public records request, which we did.
