LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The driver involved in a fatal crash Sunday night was arrested Wednesday. Police say the driver never stopped or returned to the crash location.
Las Vegas police say a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in the west valley Sunday night.
LVMPD says the driver of the car is Dora Henderson, 22, from Las Vegas.
Metro says the crash occurred on Tropicana Avenue east of Conquistador Street near Hualapai Way around 10:15 p.m. Sunday evening.
Video surveillance showed an unknown silver SUV traveling eastbound on Tropicana. At the same time, a female pedestrian was “possibly kneeling or lying on the roadway,” police said. An image of the vehicle was released to the public.
The silver vehicle then hits the woman in the roadway and proceeds eastbound.
The 41-year-old woman who was hit was transported to UMC, where she was pronounced dead by medical staff. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s identity.
