‘Women Build’ event for Habitat for Humanity homes in Henderson area

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 has been following the home-building process for a local woman in the Las Vegas Valley.

She got some help from other women for her future home.

Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. That’s the motivation behind FOX5’s Super Build in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Las Vegas.

During the “Women Build” event, volunteers from all over the valley took on landscaping for future homeowner Bianca Robinson and others. They love giving back.

“West Coast Trial Lawyers partnered up with Habitat for Humanity so we could give back to our community. It’s very important for us to be able to assist as much as possible and be able to provide homes for those in need,” said Cynthia Villanueva, senior intake specialist with West Coast Trial Lawyers.

“I’m getting so much closer, why wouldn’t I want to come out and do my own landscaping on my own house? And then just being part of this beautiful opportunity with so many amazing women. So many women from all over the city, with different backgrounds. I’m forming so many wonderful relationships and just getting to know these amazing girls,” homeowner Bianca Robinson explained.

The ‘Women Build’ event typically happens just once a year, but this was the second time the Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity has hosted this year.

Robinson hopes to move in this summer.
