Arizona man died in crash on I-15, south of Mesquite

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An Arizona man died in a fatal crash on I-15 south of Mesquite earlier this month.

Nevada State Police said the crash happened Thursday, April 17 at 3:05 a.m. in the area of I-15 and mile marker 92. This is about 28 miles south of Mesquite, Nevada.

Preliminary details indicate that the driver of a 2013 Mini Cooper, later identified as Marcus Anthony Harrell, 42, drove southbound on I-15.

Police said he failed to maintain his travel lane and drove off the roadway and crossed into the northbound lanes. He struck an embankment and overturned.

Police said he died at the scene.

“The investigation is being conducted by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Traffic Homicide Unit,” police said. “2025 Year to date: The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command Region One has investigated 21 fatal crashes resulting in 21 fatalities.”
