LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A woman has died following a crash involving multiple vehicles Monday evening in North Las Vegas.
Police said in a news release, officers responded to the scene around 10:50 p.m. and located four cars near the intersection of Losee and Ann roads.
Investigators believe a blue Mercedes was traveling northbound on Losee Road when it began hitting construction barrels set up for an upcoming street paving project.
Police said the car kept driving northbound “without apparent braking.” It collided with the other three vehicles stopped at a red light.
As police continued to investigate, impairment does not appear to be a factor. Police think the driver of the Mercedes may have suffered a medical episode before the crash.
The driver of the Mercedes ultimately passed away on scene. The coroner’s office has identified her as Linda Som, 63, a resident of North Las Vegas. The cause and manner of death are still pending.
