Metro search team rescues six hikers at Red Rock Canyon

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department search and rescue team helped out six hikers who were stranded on the side of a mountain.

It happened Saturday evening when hikers called for help as it started to get dark, and some rainy weather started rolling in.

The hikers were stuck on the east side of Kraft Mountain at Red Rock.

No one was hurt, but the hikers couldn’t find their way down the mountainside.

After several hours and with the use of a rope system, the rescue team was able to guide the hikers out of trouble.
