LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police will hold a news briefing providing new details on a shooting at a local gym that left one dead and at least three injured.
LVMPD said they will hold a briefing at 2:30 p.m. FOX5 will stream the briefing on air and online.
Police have yet to identify the suspect in the shooting. The shooting happened Friday at about 1:30 p.m. at the Las Vegas Athletic Club at 1725 N Rainbow Boulevard, near Lake Mead Boulevard.
Edgar Quinonez, a 15-year employee of the gym, was killed in the shooting, according to LVAC. At least three others were injured.
On Sunday, LVMPD identified the three officers who fired their weapons in response to the incident.
- Officer Kaid Urban, 29, employed with LVMPD since 2020
- Officer Skeeter Black, 44, employed with LVMPD since 2015
- Officer Aaron Javier, 37, employed with LVMPD since 2016
It wasn’t immediately clear which officer, or if all the officers, shot and hit the suspect.
