LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The suspect connected to a dead body found in Las Vegas has died in a high-speed chase in Utah.
Tuesday night, Las Vegas Metro Police received a report of a foul smell coming from a large container stored at a business in the 100 block of North 3rd Street near North Las Vegas Boulevard and Ogden Avenue.
When officers arrived, they would open the container and find a dead body. Metro determined the incident as suspicious, and homicide detectives took over.
Police connected 63-year-old Joseph Del Rivo to the body. Wednesday, Metro learned Del Rivo was involved in an unrelated high-speed chase with Utah Highway Patrol the day prior.
Police say he crashed during the chase and died.
