LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A journalist was identified as the man found inside a container in downtown Las Vegas.
The Clark County coroner identified the victim as Matthew Keleman, 56. His cause and manner of death are pending.
An article recently published for Las Vegas Magazine was written by Keleman.
His body was found Tuesday, May 20, by Las Vegas Metro Police after officers received reports of a foul smell coming from a large container in the 100 block of North 3rd Street, near North Las Vegas Boulevard and Ogden Avenue.
Police determined the incident was suspicious. Homicide detectives took over.
Police identified 63-year-old Joseph Del Rivo as the suspect in this case. The next day after finding Keleman’s body, police learned Del Rivo died in an unrelated high-speed chase with Utah Highway Patrol the day before.
Police say he crashed during the chase and died.
