LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metro police are investigating an e-scooter crash that left two juveniles injured in northwest Las Vegas Tuesday.

According to LVMPD, the crash happened around 10:22 a.m. on Cliff Shadows Parkway at Hickam Avenue.

Two juveniles were traveling eastbound on Hickam when they failed to yield at a posted stop sign. The riders entered the path of a Kia and crashed.

Police report both riders were ejected off the scooter onto the roadway.

The two juveniles were taken to the hospital. One 9-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries. An 11-year-old suffered minor injuries.

LVMPD identified the driver of the 2023 Kia Sportage as 77-year-old Teresa Williams.

The driver remained on scene. Police say they did not show any signs of impairment.

The crash is under investigation.
