LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The suspect accused of killing two deadly in a deadly shooting on the Las Vegas Strip appeared in court Tuesday.

41-year-old Manuel Ruiz, a local YouTuber, is accused of shooting and killing another YouTuber Rodney Finley, 44, and his wife Tanisha, 43. The shooting happened just outside the Bellagio around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday.

Justice Court Judge Amy Chellini told Ruiz that he wouldn’t get a chance to post bail until his next court appearance Thursday.

Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson was also present, but declined to comment until Ruiz’s next appearance.

Another local YouTuber was in the courtroom and spoke with FOX5. Marquis Wiley says he did not know the suspect or victims, but talked about how the feud between the two built up online over the last year.

“I think it’s an addiction to social media, and I think it’s a sign of mental illness,” Wiley said. “He did not have to shoot and kill a husband and wife.”

Ruiz is facing two charges of open murder with a deadly weapon.

A video of the shooting circulated online in the moments after. Rodney Finley, who went by Finny Da Legend online, was livestreaming moments before he was shot.

A man believed to be Ruiz can be seen approaching Finley in the video. Finley’s wife is also seen confronting Ruiz before several shots rang out.

Ruiz is due back in court on Thursday, June 12 at 8:30 a.m.
