LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County coroner has reported the first heat-related deaths of 2025.
As of Wednesday, a total of three people died with heat as a factor. The coroner says people could be more susceptible to heat-related deaths if using drugs, especially fentanyl.
Other factors could include illnesses, medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, physical exertion, inappropriate clothing, and not drinking enough water.

Wednesday’s high is expected at near 106°F, with a subtle cooldown in the evening. An excessive heat warning ended 10 p.m. Tuesday.
