LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – More than 100 pounds of ketamine are now in the hands of border patrol after it was found in a woman’s bags at Harry Reid International Airport.
Rubeen Grimes is accused of importation of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Grimes was at Harry Reid Airport Thursday, June 5.
According to a criminal complaint, a Customs and Border Patrol officer escorted her during primary inspection to review her luggage. She confirmed they were hers, but turned visibly nervous and said her friend “Jason” helped pack the suitcases.
Officers scanned her bags through and x-ray machine and noticed a large item in each of the bags. Officers would open her luggage and find a clear plastic bag full of a white crystal substance.
Testing showed it was positive for ketamine.
Documents show a warrant was created on Monday for her arrest. FOX5 is asking Homeland Security for an update.
