LAS VEGAS — A major roadway construction project in Henderson is expected to affect traffic patterns for several years, officials said Wednesday.
The project is scheduled to begin Sunday, during which traffic will be affected on the 215 Freeway between Stephanie Street and Pecos Road. Three lanes will remain open during the day, and two lanes will stay open at night, officials said.
According to a news release, consecutive ramps will not be under construction simultaneously, and paving on ramps will occur at night.
Green Valley Parkway will see significant work as construction begins on a pedestrian bridge. Work on the project is expected to take place at night, during which closures of the roadway are expected.
Officials said construction at the intersection of St. Rose Parkway/Pecos Road and Paseo Verde Parkway will not coincide with the work done on Green Valley Parkway.
Work is set to begin on Sunday at 9 p.m. and is expected to be completed in 2028. The $145 million project is funded by the Clark County Master Transportation Improvement Fund, officials said.
