LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide near Russell Road and Buffalo Drive.
Police said the incident happened around 12:30 Wednesday morning in the 6000 block of Coja Street.
According to police, someone was shot several times in the garage of a southwest Las Vegas home. They died at the scene.
A white Dodge Charger with a black front bumper was seen circling the neighborhood a few times before the shooting, Lt. Steve Riback said during a media briefing. The car stopped in front of a house, several people got out, and then fired more than 30 rounds.
The man in his garage was the only person hit by the barrage of bullets, the lieutenant said.
The suspects got back in the car and left the area.
At this point, Metro said there’s no further danger to people nearby, since this was an isolated incident.
