LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — All I-15 northbound lanes have shut down near Baker, California, due to a fire, police say.
California Highway Patrol announced the closure on social media Monday afternoon. It started around 1:24 p.m. at mile marker 33. Police say a Big Rig tractor and trailer are on fire.
CHP said the fire department is on scene and all northbound lanes have closed. Police said there are no alternate routes, and traffic is being turned around at Zzyzx Road.
Police say to avoid the area if possible.
CHP said crews could remain on scene for another three hours. Southbound lanes are still open, according to police.
This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
