LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Two people were killed in a plane crash Sunday near Needles Airport, south of Laughlin, officials said.
According to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officials, a Piper PA-28 light aircraft crashed near Needles Airport, nearly two hours southeast of Las Vegas. The crash occurred on Sunday, just after 9:30 p.m.
Preliminary information from the FAA indicated that the two people killed in the crash were a member of the flight crew and a passenger.
An FAA report said the damage to the vessel was “substantial,” and the “aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances.”
The FAA, alongside the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), will investigate the crash, officials said.
