LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Grand jury evidence shows police response and public confusion when a shooting allegedly was carried out by a YouTuber in front of the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip.
Manuel Ruiz, 41, faces two murder charges related to the fatal shooting of another YouTuber, Rodney Finley, and his wife, Tanisha or “Bubbly,” on June 8. Ruiz claimed the shooting was in self-defense, according to an arrest report. Rodney and Tanisha died at the scene.
FOX5 learned Ruiz was indicted on his murder charges by a grand jury Friday. FOX5 has obtained the evidence for this case, but has decided to only show clips without graphic imagery.
Video shows a Las Vegas Metropolitan police officer exiting his patrol vehicle and running across the street. Bystanders pointed the officer to where they believed the shooting occurred.
“Who shot?” the officer asked. The bystanders responses cannot be understood.
The clip ends with Metro officers outside the Bellagio on the sidewalk asking for more information on a shooting suspect.
Ruiz would turn himself in to Henderson Police the next morning. According to custody records, he continues to be held with no bail.
