LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 16-year-old has died after a scooter crash last week, Las Vegas police say.
The crash happened last Friday near Sierra Vista Drive and Maryland Parkway around 4:20 p.m. Police say the teen rode a scooter when he attempted to do a trick and fell into the path of an oncoming car.
The driver was identified as a 33-year-old man. He drove a Chevrolet Tahoe and was not able to avoid the teen, police say.
The 16-year-old was taken to Sunrise Hospital where he died on Tuesday, July 15.
Police say the driver cooperated with the investigation and was not impaired.
The crash remains under LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section.
