LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Vegas Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy is heading to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

According to the team’s announcement, Cassidy will be one of four assistant coaches for Canada’s Men’s Olympic Team. He’s expected to work alongside Jon Cooper, head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Cassidy will head to the Olympics with Jack Eichel. He was preciously announced within the first six players named inn USA’s preliminary roster for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games in January.

The head coach previously helped in the 4 Nations Face-Off back in February as an assistant coach. Cassidy has earned many accolades during his NHL career including his first time on the Stanley Cup on June 13, 2023.

The 60-year-old is the third head coach in franchise history for the Vegas Golden Knights.
