LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metro police are investigating a deadly crash in the northwest valley.
According to LVMPD, around 7 p.m. the crash occurred at the intersection of Buffalo and Elkhorn between a black SUV and white sedan.
Officials report the SUV was traveling westbound on Elkhorn and the sedan was heading northbound on Buffalo when they collided.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
Police report a passenger of the sedan died at the scene.
Speed and alcohol do not seem to be contributing factors at this time, police say.
The intersection will remain closed as the investigation is ongoing.
Officials ask driver to avoid the area at this time.
