Pedestrian died nearly month after crash with Tesla in east Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian died nearly a month after being hit by a car outside of a crosswalk in east Las Vegas, police say.

According to Las Vegas Metro Police, the Clark County Coroner’s office reported the pedestrian, later identified as 58-year-old Norman Manymules, died due to their injuries sustained in the crash on July 11. LVMPD said the crash occurred June 14 around 9:30 p.m. at Nellis Boulevard and East Owens Avenue.

Police say evidence and video surveillance indicated that a 2023 Tesla drove south when they struck the pedestrian who was reportedly walking outside of a marked crosswalk.

The pedestrian fell onto the roadway after they were hit, police say. They were then taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Clark County Coroner is expected to release the pedestrian’s identity.
