LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Over 100 employees are expected to lose their jobs as a North Las Vegas casino closes.
FOX5 obtained a letter in compliance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act that Poker Palace near Cheyenne and Las Vegas Boulevard is set to close around October 1 this year.
The letter says the cassino has agreed to be sold. As a result, about 126 are set to be terminated. According to the document, the first job loss will occur on Sept. 30 but could be extended for to around 14 days.
Poker Palace Casino’s website says the location has been open for over 40 years, first established in 1974.
