LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police spent Saturday afternoon investigating a crash that left an e-bike rider dead.

It happened at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday near Nellis Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.

According to Metro Police, an electronic bike failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the right side of a Chevrolet 3500. After the bike hit the truck, it then crashed into an unoccupied, parked Toyota Camry.

The rider was taken to the hospital where they later died. Police say the driver of the Chevrolet showed no signs of impairment.

This is an ongoing investigation.
