LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An 82-year-old woman injured in an April crash involving three vehicles in east Las Vegas has died.
The crash occurred on April 3, just before midnight, when a Honda Civic and a Toyota RAV4 were traveling southbound on Nellis Boulevard near Vista Flora Way. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department investigators said a Fiat 500 began to make a left turn and collided with the Toyota, which subsequently struck the Honda.
The passenger of the RAV4, identified only as an 82-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital, as was the Fiat driver. The Honda driver was injured but declined medical transportation. Impairment was not suspected as a factor in the crash.
On June 19, the Clark County coroner’s office notified the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section that the 82-year-old woman had died.
Police say the woman’s death will not count toward the police department’s tally of fatalities inside its jurisdiction, as she died after the state’s 30-day reportable limit.
