
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A fire broke out in a trash chute at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on the Strip early Tuesday afternoon.
According to Clark County officials, dispatchers received calls about a fire in a trash chute at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip just after 1:30 p.m.
When fire crews arrived four minutes later, they accessed the trash chute at the resort. Officials said the fire was knocked down approximately 20 minutes later.
Around 2:30 p.m., officials said crews were still clearing out the smoke. No injuries were reported.
Eight engines, two trucks, two rescues, one heavy rescue, one EMS captain, one air resource, one squad and two battalion chiefs responded to the fire, totaling 55 personnel involved.
