Driver only occupant of fire involving school bus in Henderson, no injuries reported

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Crews were responding to a vehicle fire involving a school bus in Henderson, Thursday afternoon.

Henderson Fire officials said the bus fire, which occurred just before 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 11 near Auto Show Drive, was contained to the engine compartment. The driver was the only person on board, and no injuries were reported in the incident.

Clark County School District officials said the bus did not appear to be from the district.

The incident was causing traffic to back up on the southbound side of Interstate 11 as crews worked to move the bus from the side of the road.

According to PulsePoint, the fire started at 2:21 p.m. on southbound I-11.
