LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A man is dead after a crash near the Las Vegas airport Monday, police said.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials, the crash occurred just before 8:30 p.m. near University Center Drive and East Hacienda Avenue near Harry Reid International Airport.
There, police said a speeding vehicle struck a block wall. The driver, a man whose identity was not revealed, was killed in the crash.
The collision is under investigation, and officials said the driver’s death would not be counted as a traffic-related fatality until the cause and manner of death are determined by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
