LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — More than 350 positions at a popular Las Vegas nightclub will be eliminated, according to a document from the venue’s management group.
With the closure of Drai’s Beachclub Nightclub at The Cromwell and its planned move back to the basement space it initially occupied, the company said layoffs are expected.
In a notice sent to the Nevada Department of Employment, Drai’s Management Group announced that a total of 351 employees would be laid off as part of the move. According to the release, 236 positions from Drai’s Nightclub, 108 from Drai’s Beachclub and seven from Drai’s Afterhours would be eliminated.
“The layoffs at Drai’s Afterhours will be considered permanent,” said a letter dated Aug. 30 from Dustin Drai, president of Drai’s Management Group. “This will result in your termination effective immediately following your last scheduled shift of work prior to this time at Drai’s Beachclub Nightclub and Drai’s Afterhours.”
According to an earlier release, the final weekend of Drai’s Nightclub will be Halloween weekend, through Nov. 2.
