LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A downed pole on the Las Vegas Strip is causing major traffic problems.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said there is a downed pole on Las Vegas Boulevard near Flamingo causing major traffic delays.
Police said a driver crashed into a light pole and is blocking a lane of travel. The crash happened around 8:28 p.m.
“Please avoid the area due heavy congestion,” police said.
Traffic was already expected to be heavy in the area after the Super Bowl nearby at Allegiant Stadium.
LVMPD said they were also responding to several unrelated crashes. Police haven’t immediately responded when asked what caused the downed pole.
