LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Fire & Rescue and the Clark County Fire Department responded to a house fire Thursday morning.
The fire broke out at Pennwood Avenue, near Decatur Boulevard and Desert Inn Road. Officials with CCFD say dispatchers were able to instruct one caller to evacuate the home before the fire units arrived.
When the first unit arrived, one person and several dogs were unaccounted for. CCFD says firefighters were able to locate the victim and rescue them from the home. Firefighters knocked down the fire around 3:40 a.m.
Two adults were evaluated on scene by medical teams. Three people were transported to UMC for medical care, according to CCFD.
Animal Protection Services were requested for the animals. NV Energy also responded to the scene to board up some of the doors and windows in the home.
