LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A man convicted of a deadly shooting back in 2024 was sentenced Thursday to 20 years to life in prison.

Frederick Blanche appeared in court alongside the family of the woman killed after an argument escalated behind a car rental business near Sahara and Decatur.

The woman died at the scene. Blanche was found later by police in Arizona and brought back to Nevada. At sentencing, he addressed the victim’s family, who called the crime horrifying.

“To the family and my family, apologies. Extremely remorseful for what happened. Not because I got caught, but because of the whole situation. I hope that this kind of helps,” Blanche said.

The victim’s family say she was a bright light in their lives, and now they are left broken.
