LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The plug has officially been pulled on plans for a video game-themed hotel in Las Vegas.
The gaming company first announced plans to build multiple hotels in eight cities, including Las Vegas, back in 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic stalled planning, and a site was never identified.
A hotel spokesperson told FOX5 in a statement Friday that, “We are not actively pursuing a project in Las Vegas at this time.”
After attempting to develop the location in late 2020 into 2021, developers say a deal never “came to fruition.”
Instead, developers are turning their efforts toward building its first location in Phoenix, which is slated to open in 2028.
