OHIO (WIFR) – Michael McKee, 39, is formally indicted by an Ohio grand jury for the murder of his ex-wife and her husband.
McKee, who lives in Chicago, was arrested just before 10 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Chick-Fil-A on North Perryville Road in Rockford, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
He is a suspect in the Dec. 30 killings of Dr. Spencer Tepe, 37, and Monique Tepe, 39 in their home in Columbus, Ohio.
McKee is being held in the Winnebago County Jail as he awaits extradition to Ohio. During a hearing Jan. 12, he consented to return to Ohio where he is expected to plead not guilty to the charges against him.
He is due to appear in court on Jan. 23 in Winnebago County if he is not extradited to Ohio first.
