LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Yukon Pizza in downtown Las Vegas is taking part in a strike Friday.
They let their customers know with a social media post, writing, “In solidarity with the people in Minnesota and all those brutalized by ICE, we are joining the National Day of Action.”
“We are small business owners. We are family-owned and operated. We don’t have a restaurant backing group. We don’t have funding. We don’t have hospitality, you know, this or that. It’s just the family. And we are putting our, our stuff on the line because we are one voice of many trying to, to be a part of something that says this has to stop now,” said Alex White, owner of Yukon Pizza.
In addition to the economic boycott, organizers are asking people to stay home from work or school and write to their local leaders.
