LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A man is injured Friday morning after being hit by a car in a North Las Vegas intersection, police say.
According to North Las Vegas police, the crash involving a pedestrian and a car occurred in the area of Cheyenne Avenue and Commerce Street around 2:49 a.m.
Arriving officers transported a male pedestrian to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. The driver remained on scene, is cooperating with investigations, and is not suspected of impairment at this time, police say.
According to RTC, all lanes along Cheyenne and Commerce Street were completely blocked around 3 a.m. As of 5:30 a.m., two eastbound lanes have reopened.
Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area while an investigation is ongoing.
