LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Southwest Gas is seeking a rate increase for customers across Nevada, with a public hearing before the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada scheduled for March 5.

The company is proposing a 2.8% rate increase for Southern Nevada customers, which would add $1.19 to monthly bills.

Northern Nevada would see a larger increase

Northern Nevada customers would face a higher proposed increase of 10.7%, adding $6.39 to monthly bills.

The March 5 session before the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada will be open to the public.
