LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The North Las Vegas Police Department is continuing its efforts in keeping DUI drivers off local roads following its latest enforcement campaign.
Seven arrests and 181 citations were made as part of Nevada’s statewide Joining Forces initiative. Officers also made 219 traffic enforcement contacts.
Citations were issued for speeding, seat belt violations, child restraint violations, unsafe lane changes, reckless driving, and intersection violations. Additionally, five preliminary breath tests and 10 field sobriety tests were conducted.

Officials also not that one impaired-related crash occurred during the enforcement period, leading to an arrest. Officers spent 114 overtime hours and 22.5 regular duty hours on the campaign, which focused on removing impaired drivers from North Las Vegas roadways.
The multi-agency task force has conducted 3,719 traffic stops, issued 3,992 citations—including 2,518 for speeding—and made 25 arrests since its inception.
The task force includes Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, Henderson Police, Clark County School District Police, and Boulder City Police.
