LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Caesars Entertainment has officially opened Caesars Race & Sportsbook at The Resort at Summerlin.
It marks the first retail Caesars Sportsbook location in the Summerlin community and expands in-person and mobile sports wagering options in the western Las Vegas Valley, according to officials.
Company executives and leaders from The Resort at Summerlin were seen joining former Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Deryk Engelland for a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony, where Engelland placed a ceremonial first bet.
Officials report that the new sportsbook sits on the casino floor and spans nearly 6,000 square feet. It features a new video wall and will add a 360-degree LED video display at an expanded sportsbook bar, expected to be completed before summer 2026.

The space includes 20 Caesars Sportsbook self-service betting kiosks located inside the sportsbook and throughout the casino. Which officials say would offer access to thousands of betting markets that mirror those on the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app.
According to the release, this will be the first time Summerlin bettors can complete in-person registration for the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app and make mobile cash deposits and withdrawals on site.
“Opening Caesars Race & Sportsbook at The Resort at Summerlin is a significant milestone for our brand in Las Vegas,” Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital, said in a statement. “This location allows us to better serve sports fans in the Summerlin community with a retail and mobile experience that reflects the quality, depth, and innovation that define Caesars Sportsbook.”
Michelle McHugh, vice president and general manager of The Resort at Summerlin, said the new book answers a growing demand from guests.
“Our guests have been asking for this, and we’re proud to officially open Caesars Race & Sportsbook as part of the continued evolution of The Resort at Summerlin,” McHugh said. “As the first Caesars Race & Sportsbook in Summerlin, this opening underscores the strength of our market, and we’re excited to offer an experience that resonates with locals and visitors alike.”
Caesars Race & Sportsbook will be open at 8 a.m. on weekdays and 7:30 a.m. on weekends. But the self-service kiosks will operate 24 hours a day.
