LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a serious collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near Paradise Road and East Flamingo Road.
The crash was reported at approximately 10:33 a.m. on Monday in the busy corridor just east of the Las Vegas Strip.
According to LVMPD, the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life‑threatening injuries. No further details about the victim have been released.
Police said the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Impairment is not suspected at this time, though officers continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation.
As a result of the crash, East Flamingo Road is closed to vehicle traffic in both directions between Paradise Road and Palos Verdes Street.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway is reopened.
