LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Henderson Police Department announced the loss of one of their detectives Tuesday morning.

Police said Detective Brandonn Trottter died following medical complications.

“Please keep his family, friends, and the Henderson Police Department in your thoughts during this difficult time,” the department posted to social media.

Trotter joined HPD in 2007, according to a media release. Chief of Police Reggie Rader recognized his work and dedication to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

“Detective Trotter protected the most vulnerable among us and because of his relentless work, saved countless young lives and spared unimaginable heartbreak,” Rader said. “Detective Trotter’s legacy will live on in every child who grew up safe because he refused to stop fighting for them.”
