LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says they’re monitoring social media reports about possible “takeover” gatherings in Las Vegas.
One of the social media posts indicates a “Sky Zone Shutdown” set to happen on Sunday, March 15, while another states a “Fashion Show Mall shutdown” on Saturday, March 21.
Authorities say they are aware of posts and plan to have mitigation measures in place at the identified locations.
FOX5 received a statement from Fashion Show Mall in response to the takeover plans. “At Fashion Show Las Vegas, the safety and security of our guests, retailers and employees is our top priority.”
Fashion Show says it has security protocols in place throughout the property.

In a statement, officials with Sky Zone say they are aware of the posts and are working with police.
“At Sky Zone parks, the safety and well-being of guests, team members, and the communities they serve are always the highest priority. The independently owned and operated Sky Zone park in Las Vegas is aware of a social media post about an unauthorized, disruptive gathering being planned for the evening of this Sunday, March 15th,” a spokesperson says.
“The park’s franchise ownership team is collaborating closely with local law enforcement to ensure an appropriate response if such activity does take place. All guests under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Sky Zone parks maintain a zero-tolerance policy for violations of park rules, and guests who engage in prohibited behavior will be immediately removed without refunds and may be permanently banned from the facility.”
Anyone who believes there is an immediate need for police response is urged to call 911 or 311.
Suspicious activity can also be reported to 702-828-7777, police add.
