LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A man accused of setting fire to an elderly woman’s home — claiming her son was following him months after the son’s death — has been found competent to stand trial, according to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office.

After a FOX5 report on the targeted attacks on the woman’s home, a local nonprofit joined Surprise Squad to give her some much-need relief.

Russell McLaren faces five charges, including arson, aggravated stalking and destruction of property.

McLaren is due back in court April 1.
