LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Mob Museum’s Underground speakeasy is rolling out a new Prohibition-inspired menu that launches March 24, coinciding with National Cocktail Day.
The bar is tucked in the basement of the museum and requires a password to enter. It recreates a 1920s speakeasy with live jazz, artifacts and a working distillery that makes award-winning moonshine.

New cocktails honor bootlegger history
The new cocktail lineup includes drinks like “The Garden Party,” a rhubarb-gin mix, and “Aunt Vivian,” inspired by a Seattle bootlegger who allegedly used a children’s radio show to send coded smuggling messages.
Another drink, “Preservation Punch,” blends rye, the bar’s peach-flavored moonshine and cinnamon, nodding to the days before refrigeration when families relied on preserving fruits.
The kitchen is also adding shareable plates like garlic knots and crab cakes, dishes inspired by immigrant-owned cafes and quick bites common in early speakeasies.
The Underground is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays until midnight.
