LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The former Clark County employee accused of stealing an attorney’s bar number to impersonate him in court entered a plea agreement earlier this week.

Last August, Jerrell Roberts was arrested after attorney Jerrell Luis Berrios notified police that his bar number was being used fraudulently on another case.

An investigation found that Roberts misrepresented himself as Berrios on three separate occasions, according to an arrest report.

He reportedly used false names and business names, including “Jerrell D. Roberts, Esq., Attorney and Financial Consultant,” “Roberts & Legacy Wealth Advisors,” and “Roberts & Legacy LLP.”

The report also stated that Roberts told investigators he “made up” the bar number, saying he had heard that bar numbers ranging from the mid-to-low hundreds up to 1,000 and 15,000 must not return to anyone.

According to court documents obtained by FOX5, Roberts agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge of Obtaining and Using the Personal Identifying Information of Another during a Wednesday hearing.

The agreement also requires Roberts to not contact Berrios, pay all required restitution and stay out of trouble.

If all goes well, he will be allowed to withdraw his plea and instead plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Practicing Law Without a License.

Clark County confirmed to FOX5 last year that Roberts was previously a Juvenile Court Services employee, but was placed on unpaid leave following his arrest.

Roberts is due back in court for sentencing on June 17.
