LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Ability Center of Southern Nevada held its fourth annual “Pizza For A Purpose” event at Opportunity Village, bringing together families of people with disabilities.
The president of the Ability Center said the event focuses on providing experiences for attendees.
“They’re missing out on friendship, peering, mentorship, everything that normal youth gets an opportunity to do,” the president said. “And that’s what I prided myself with creating programs for the Ability Center that give these children an opportunity to be included and to do something that everyone else had the same opportunity to do when they were growing up.”
Several local pizza shops donated ingredients for the event.
